Website Construction Discussion
- There
was a discussion cultural sensitivity of the website. Questions such as: Who is going to figure our what is culturally sensitive? What languages should
be used? Do we have someone that
can do translations? Should we have three primary languages such as
English, Korean, Spanish? Should someone from each ethnic group be
consultant?
- There
was a discussion regarding the level of reading difficulty. Reading difficulty should be at eighth
grade level.
- There
should be Power Point presentation that supports the website construction.
- In
terms of website content, there was a question about what we do mean by
outreach and support services.
- There
was evaluation framework discussion for the March 12th WFW
First Quarterly Report Back The framework contains within it the workplan for the remainder of the year, e.g. website
construction.
- There
was a tentative timeline for the construction of timeline. The working group would like to have
some kind of product by the end of August.
- There
was a question of who is experienced in planning websites, and can this
person handle all of the questions?
- Dr.
Ken Wells has a friend who is experienced in planning websites. He suggested setting up a meeting to
discuss the feasibility website construction.
- Website
content – there would be two parts of the websites: Outreach (this would be the public side)
and Service Quality (this part supports service providers).
- There
was a question to be considered in website construction - what do people want and
need? What kind of security
measures and interaction would be used?
- There
was discussion about finding funding to do the work of website
construction.

- ANNOUNCEMENTS: Work Plan should be finalized and turned
in to the HAAF office to Ted Booker.
Charla Franklin and Felica Jones to work
on finalizing the
Work Plan.
- There
will be workshop conducted by the Avis Ridley Thomas office of the city
attorney on How to Listen at the Department of
Water and Power on April 1st from 9:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
