Welcome to the Witness for Wellness website. W4W is a community-based partnership for building community strength and overcoming the burden on communities of depression, particularly in communities of color. Our efforts have begun in Los Angeles, but we hope other communities will join us as the program develops!
W4W is also a research project, in which research is used to help guide the program development and evaluate its impacts. W4W uses a full and equal partnership model in program development and research of academics and community, blending the PhD of the university with the PhD of the sidewalk.
On this website you will find out about our history, see how we have structured our partnership and learn about our partner members, read about the action plans of the three main W4W work groups, observe and use products from the work groups, and have updates on research findings and presentations. New products, such as toolkits for community case workers will be added over time, and revised based on our research findings. You can also contact us. If you are a participant in the program, you will find detailed information on meeting schedules and contact information the main registered community and academic leaders and participants in the work groups. You will also find other forms to register for events or to participate in research, and links to key resources.
W4W is an inclusive program, which means it's open to all people who share or want to learn about or participate in our mission. We look forward to sharing our program with you, and thanks for visiting our website!
